Pelvic Health Physiotherapy addresses a wealth of conditions, such as Overactive Bladders, Bladder or Bowel Leakage (Incontinence), Difficulty Voiding/Constipation, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Pregnancy and Labor/Delivery Prep, Postpartum Recovery, Diastasis Recti, Pelvic Pain, Hip and Low Back Pain, Tailbone Pain, Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, Painful Intercourse, and more. Assessment and treatment involves manual therapy, breathing techniques, functional movement/exercise, and education. *Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy may include internal examination of pelvic musculature, however is not required and is based on patient comfort.*


Osteopathy

Rebecca completed her BSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 1998 and prior to that completed an MSc in Exercise and Health Science at York University in 1995. She has also completed post graduate certification in manual therapy and become certified in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada (AFCI). Most recently she has become a level 1 Fascial Stretch Therapist (FST). She has also attended shoulder and hip specific courses as well as being certified with Fit Fore Golf (level 2) and Current Trends in Running Injuries.

Rebecca also draws from a life-long love of sport. She has competed at high levels in both gymnastics and track and field, representing Canada as a pole vaulter in the 1998 Commonwealth Games and 1999 Pan Am Games. She currently loves practicing yoga and has completed four half marathons. She has treated all level of injury from the recreational runner to olympians and professional athletes. She loves treating clients of all ages and believes in goal oriented rehabilitation, whether the goal is high level competition, completing your first 10k or getting back to playing with your kids.

Meet Sarah Howorth, an Osteopathic Manual Therapist (DOMP) who believes in a holistic approach to healing.

Sarah completed her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and eventually entered a career in law enforcement. After 8 years of being a police officer Sarah rounded out her education at the National Academy of Osteopathy and is excited to begin this new career serving and protecting in a different way!

Osteopathic care not only focuses on acute injuries but there is a focus on chronic pain management through manual therapy. The application of joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques and soft tissue therapy is supported by visceral osteopathic treatments and craniosacral osteopathic treatments.

Kailah began her education at York University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. After working for a few years in the field, she went on to complete a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.

Her passion for the physiotherapy profession began at a very young age as she competed in sport at an elite level and worked closely with many physiotherapists along the way. She represented Canada in Roller Figure Skating at many international events and two Pan American Games. Her involvement in sport to date has sparked her interest in working with active individuals to prevent and treat injuries as well as improve performance.
